This is a very interesting article on the troubles facing the German Social Democratic party. Left-leaning “Social Democratic parties” took hold all over Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries, and the German Social Democratic party is one of the oldest and largest still remaining. And I’m sorry if you aren’t interested in German politics, but I really like these types of articles because they show trends. Not to mention that Germany is the largest and most important country in Europe, so I guess that it is good to at least have a general idea of the state of its politics.
