After watching the extremely civil discourse from Columbia University as they spoke to the 2 leading Presidential hopefuls, I was struck by how no one seemed to be making crazy allegations, or even moronic insults. It’s almost as if September 11 is the political Christmas Day, where everyone tries to be nice for a bit. While that is sure to change by sunrise, it was appealing to see a touch of decency from both sides.
But the rest of the world was busy being crazy as usual. We all remember Hugo Chavez, the strange man running Venezuela (not that our leader isn’t strange, mind you). Well, it seems that he is very good friends with Russia, a country that seems busy trying to re-ignite the cold war. Russia sent over a couple of aircraft to visit Venezuela.
